Conservation
Every photograph begins with a place.
The marshes, estuaries, forests, prairies, and coastlines of Florida are home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife. They are also increasingly fragile. As development continues to reshape the landscape, the long-term protection of these ecosystems has never been more important.
Conservation is not a marketing initiative for Salty Chuck. It is a personal commitment.
My goal is to build a business that celebrates Florida's natural heritage while supporting the people and organizations working to preserve it. As Salty Chuck grows, I intend to partner with local conservation efforts, volunteer within my community whenever possible, and contribute financially to nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting Florida's wild lands, waterways, and wildlife.
The photographs and paintings you see throughout this website are possible because these places still exist. Every sunrise in the Everglades, every wading bird along the coast, every quiet moment witnessed through my camera serves as a reminder that these experiences are worth protecting—not only for today, but for future generations.
I believe art has the ability to inspire appreciation, and appreciation often becomes stewardship.
If my work encourages someone to spend more time outdoors, learn about Florida's remarkable ecosystems, or support conservation in their own way, then it has accomplished something greater than creating a beautiful image.
Thank you for supporting Salty Chuck. Your support allows me to continue documenting Florida's wild places while helping contribute to the conservation efforts that keep them alive.
